Next: Sun 13 Dec 2026, from 11:00.
The second of the four tournaments in the Oranienburg Grand Prix series for 2026/27, and the one it holds in Berlin. A double-round Swiss: every pairing is played twice, once with each colour, and the two results are added — nine pairings, so eighteen games in a day at 3 minutes plus 2 seconds a move, Elo-rated. Registration closes at 10:45 and the first round starts at 11:00. Entry is 15 €, with a 2.50 € late fee after 30 November; places go in order of registration up to 80 players and then to a waiting list, and withdrawing less than a week beforehand costs 20% of the fee. Prizes run 170/100/70/40/30 €, plus 30 € each for the best woman, the best under-18 and the best senior. The day is also worth up to 51 points towards the series standings, where the top three share 1,000/750/500 € at the end of the season. Run by Benjamin Matthes with the support of SC Kreuzberg.
