About this date
The third preliminary of TSG Oberschöneweide's club blitz championship, played on the first Friday of the month from September to June. Blitz at 3 minutes plus 2 seconds a move, as a round robin or Swiss over at most 13 rounds, starting at 19:30; an impossible move loses the game, and FIDE rules cover the rest. Guests are welcome — tell the arbiter from 19:00 that you would like to play, and registration on the night closes at 19:20. For members it is also the route into the club's blitz teams and a run at the titles Vereinsmeister Blitzschach 2027 and the under-20 equivalent: finishing a preliminary is worth a quarter bonus point and a top-three finish another, and at least one full bonus point is needed to play the final on 2 July 2027. The best three overall receive trophies. A preliminary that is called off is not replayed.
